Your files never leave your device. The first time, the processing engine (a program) is downloaded. That's the engine coming to your computer, not your file going out. All processing happens in this browser.
How to check for yourself
  1. Press F12 → open the Network tab, then run it. You'll only see requests downloading the engine files, and none uploading your file.

How it works: The open-source PDF.js library renders each page onto a canvas, then exports it as a JPG.

More about PDF to JPG

Use it when you need to post a table or image from a PDF straight to a chat app or social media, when an application form only accepts photos (JPG), or when you need thumbnails to preview a document.

How to use

  1. Choose the sharpness. For document submissions, the default "Sharp" is plenty
  2. Choose the PDF to convert. If it's password-protected, a password field appears
  3. Every page is converted to an image automatically
  4. Download page by page, or get everything as a ZIP

FAQ

Q. Can I adjust the image quality?

Yes. Choose from "Standard" (1.5×), "Sharp" (2×), or "Extra sharp" (3×). One A4 page comes out at about 1190×1684 pixels on Sharp and about 1786×2526 pixels on Extra sharp. For document submissions, we recommend Sharp.

Q. Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

Yes, as long as you know the password. Enter it, and the PDF is opened and converted to JPG only inside this browser. Neither your password nor your file is sent anywhere.

Q. Does it work with PDFs that have lots of pages?

Yes, but the more pages there are, the longer the conversion takes.
