Add a PDF and every page appears as a thumbnail. Delete pages, extract the ones you need, reorder and rotate them, then download a new PDF. This tool organizes pages; it doesn't edit text.
Use it to remove blank or unneeded pages from documents you're submitting, to fix pages that got shuffled or flipped upside down while scanning, or to send just a few pages from a long PDF. It doesn't edit the text inside a PDF; it deletes, extracts, moves, and rotates pages.
Q. Can I edit the text in a PDF too?
No. This tool works on whole pages only: you can delete pages, extract the ones you need, reorder, and rotate, but it doesn't change text or images. If you need to fix the text, the cleanest way is to edit the original file (Word, etc.) and save it as a PDF again.
Q. Does deleting pages reduce the file size?
Usually, yes: deleted pages aren't carried into the new PDF, so the file shrinks by roughly their share. Deleting 3 pages from a 12-page, 5.71MB press release with a scanned image on every page brought it down to 4.19MB. Text-heavy documents where many pages share the same fonts shrink less, though: deleting half of an 8-page, 344KB document left 279KB. If you need it smaller still, follow up with Compress PDF.
Q. How do I reorder pages on a phone?
Tap the pages you want to move to select them, and ⇤ ← → ⇥ buttons appear at the bottom of the screen. ← → move one spot at a time, and ⇤ ⇥ move to the very beginning or end. The buttons stay in place, so you can tap them repeatedly. On a computer, you can also drag and drop pages.
Q. Are bookmarks (table of contents) and links kept?
Bookmarks (the table of contents shown beside the page in PDF viewers) aren't carried over to the new PDF. Links to other pages within the document are kept only if they point to pages you kept; links to deleted pages are removed. Links to web addresses stay as they are. In fillable PDF forms, the fields still appear, but they may no longer be fillable.
Q. Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Locked PDFs can't be opened here. Unlock it first with Remove PDF password, then add it. You'll need to know the password. PDFs with an editing-restriction password show the same message, even if they open without asking for a password.
Q. How is this different from Split PDF?
Split PDF is handy when you want to type page numbers to extract a range, or split every page into its own file. Organize PDF pages is for deleting, reordering, and rotating pages while you see them, then getting the result as a single PDF. To combine multiple PDFs into one, use Merge PDF.
Q. Will the quality drop?
No. Pages aren't converted to images; the original content is copied over as is, so text and images look exactly like the original. Rotation only changes each page's rotation value.
